DIY Installation Waiver & Risk Acknowledgment

By purchasing glass products from Glass Creations Hub, you (the “Customer”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding the handling and installation of glass products, whether tempered, annealed, laminated, insulated, or otherwise customized:

1. Assumption of Risk

Glass Creations Hub provides custom-fabricated glass products for DIY installation at the customer’s discretion. By choosing to handle or install any glass product yourself, you accept full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries, or property damage that may occur as a result of:

• Mishandling or dropping glass panels
• Improper support or mounting
• Inadequate safety measures
• Failure to follow installation best practices or building codes

2. No Liability for DIY Installation

Glass Creations Hub is not liable for:

• Any bodily injury, property damage, or economic loss caused by improper installation or handling
• Any damage resulting from failure to follow safety recommendations or instructions
• Issues arising from non-professional installation of tempered or annealed glass, including spontaneous breakage or cracking due to thermal stress, improper framing, or uneven surface pressure

3. Tempered vs. Annealed Glass

Tempered Glass is heat-treated to increase strength and safety. It is designed to shatter into small, less harmful pieces when broken. However, tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or modified once produced. Attempting to do so may cause sudden breakage.

Annealed Glass is not heat-treated and may break into large sharp pieces. It is more economical but not recommended for high-impact or safety applications. Improper installation can result in serious injury.

By purchasing either product, you understand the characteristics and risks associated with that glass type.

4. Professional Installation Recommended

While Glass Creations Hub supports DIY customers, we strongly recommend professional installation, especially for:

• Shower enclosures
• Large mirrors or table tops
• Overhead or vertical installations
• Glass heavier than 30 lbs or taller than 36 inches

5. Building Code Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards during any installation. Glass Creations Hub does not provide permitting, structural engineering, or on-site safety guidance.

6. Hold Harmless Clause

By proceeding with your purchase and installation, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify Glass Creations Hub, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, lawsuits, or damages that arise from:

• The handling or installation of glass
• Improper or unsafe mounting techniques
• Use of the product in a non-intended way
